Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1: Saigon - Can Tho

    We’ll rendezvous at your hotel in Saigon and have a quick transfer to Cai Lay. Then, we’ll take back roads to Caibe, where we’ll board a boat to Can Tho Island. You will spend some time visiting artisans; we’ll watch coconut candy making, rice paper making, and popcorn/ popped rice making. We’ll enjoy lunch on the island and explore the capital of the Mekong delta. We’ll stay overnight in Can Tho.

  • Day 2: Can Tho  - Chau Doc

    After a very early breakfast, you will take a boat trip to the famous Cai Rang floating market before riding on to Phong dien. There, you’ll have a short transfer until we begin cycling toward Chau Doc. Along the way, you’ll see rice fields and water buffalos near the road. We will arrive in Chau Doc around sunset; those with energy to spare can climb Sam Mountain for a remarkable view. We’ll enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Chau Doc.

  • Day 3: Cruise to Phnom Penh

    Depart early for the boat journey up the Mekong River to Phnom Penh (take water, food, book etc… for your journey). Once arriving at the pier at Chau Doc you will say goodbye to your Vietnamese guide and bikes and cruise up the Bassac river for approximately 1,5 hours to the Cambodian border. At the Cambodian border the boat crew will obtain your visas on your behalf (you will need 02 spare passport photo, fill in a form and pay the $30 visa fee). This process will take about half an hour. The boat will then continue to take you upstream to Phnom Penh, where your new Cambodian team will be ready to greet you. You will then continue your journey into Cambodia & Phnom Penh. This capital city was once considered one of the most beautiful in the orient, and despite its recent turbulent history, it still retains a colonial charm.

    You will met with your guide and transfer to lunch. After lunch at the atmospheric foreign correspondent's club and you will transfer to Cambodia's killing fields and a visit to S21, Tuol Sleng genocide museum. Overnight at in Phnom Penh.

  • Day 4: Phnom Penh - Kampong Thom

    Today is an early morning start by transfer to north of Phnom Penh and we then start our ride passing local villages and head towards the ancient capital of Oudong, where Oudong Mountain is still home to many of the old Royal Palaces. The 400-plus steps to the top will get the legs a good workout but the view is worth it! This ride gives you the chance to see rural Cambodia, stilted houses, rice paddies, ox carts, waving children, and of course the friendly Khmer people.

    After exploring the area, you have lunch and then drive to Kampong Thom, the route takes you past a cashew nut plantation before arriving at the bustling town of Skoun, lying at the crossroads between the north and east of the country. Skoun's local delicacy is tasty sauté garlic tarantula! You are surrounded once more by paddy fields and huge open plains, the scenery broken only by sugar palms, wooden huts and and pagodas. We arrive in Kampong Thom, a small but energetic town with a fascinating market.

  • Day 5: Kampong Thom - Siem Reap

    After an early breakfast, we will have a beautiful ride to ancient temple of Sambo Prei Kuk through a paddy fields and small villages. We will have our lunch prepared by the local community near Sambor Preikuk.
    After which, you will be transferred by vehicle 2 hours and a half to Tonle Sap. The largest in South East Asia, board a small boat and sail through the traditional floating village of Chong Khneas, witnessing the residents going about their daily life. It is quite a sight to see a whole bamboo village complete with homes, petrol stations, schools, hair dressers and even karaoke bars, floating on a lake.

    (Note: Due to low water levels during the dry season, the boat trip is only possible from July to March)

  • Day 6: Angkor Wat by bike

    Depart early from the hotel on the main road and cycling through Angkor pass check point. Discover the Amazing Angkor Wat. We cycle to the main circuit road and just as we enter Angkor Thom, we leave the road and spend the rest of the day on charming, quiet trails through these majestic structures. We visit The Bayon, famous for its serene faces, continue to Baphoun and Phimeanakas then The Elephant Terrace and Terrace of Leper King. We continue our ride to Ta Prohm, made famous by the Hollywood blockbuster “Tomb Raider,” and Srah Srang, then finish your cycling at Banteay Kdei. Tonight, a special Khmer dinner will be served for you to accompany a traditional Khmer Apsara dance.

  • Day 7: Free until departure

    Today you are free at leisure until it is time for your transfer to Siem Reap, Angkor International Airport for your onward flight. Leave the home of the mighty Khmer Empire with many wonderful cycling memories.
