Siem Reap Bike and Boat Tour

Additional Info

  • Durations: 1 - 4 days
  • Tour Code: SRBBT-1D (1Day)

Beyond the temples, join us for an easy cycle tour  through the Siem Reap countryside. Bike the quiet trails through rice fields and small villages. We make frequent stops to learn about daily village life in Cambodia and to enjoy some delicious local snacks. Connect with the real Cambodia.

Cycle through traditional wood and thatch villages that seemingly have remained unchanged for centuries, witness locals tilling their vibrant rice fields, watch barefoot children herding the family cow, laugh as chickens scatter at you approach, and of course exchange greetings as you pass the many Khmers whose bicycle is their only form of transport. You will certainly be viewed with curiosity by the friendly smiling villagers and encouraged on your way by a chorus of 'Hello' sang by amazed, giggling children.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Siem Reap - Bakong - Kompong Pluk

We will pick you up at your hotel with our tuk tuk, then head out of Siem Reap city and drive to a beautiful countryside area. From there, we will cycle along the red soil roads through some splendid villages. We will stop and have a glimpse of a local fish market where you will have a chance to capture amazing pictures of traditional Khmer fish trading. Cycle on to a remote temple, devoid of any tourist. After cycling we will have a break to enjoy a refreshing drink.

Then resuming our journey to one of the most impressive floating villages in Cambodia where we will board a boat to discover the stilted-house villages and astonishing flooded forest. There, we will have Khmer-flavored lunch in a stilted-household of the village then travel by boat  to visit an island pagoda, monks' school, and explore the monk's way of life.

Finally, we jump back in to the big boat on Tonle Sap Lake before driving back to Siem Reap through other country villages. You will have an opportunity to see some Cambodian famous water-bird species in rice paddies. We will also stop in a khmer village, which enables you to interact with local people in a peaceful and meaningful way. Finally we will be back to Siem Reap around 5 pm.

Let yourself go and enjoy the way of Cambodian life off the beaten track!
