Itinerary
Luang Prabang to Vietnam 9 Days / 8 Nights

Day 1Luang Prabang Arrival

After a private transfer from the airport to your hotel, you’ll visit Phousi Mountain and view the sunset over the city before taking an evening stroll through the colourful Night Market.
7.30pm Dinner at a local restaurant (Manda de Laos)

Day 2TAK BAAT / CITY TOUR & PAK OU CAVES

An optional early (5.30am) start gives you the fantastic opportunity to witness the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This procession called ‘Tak Baat’ is unique in Laos, being one of the few Buddhist nations still preserving the tradition .
Observe the alms-giving ritual (Tak Baat) at 5.30-6:00 am before exploring the bustling Morning Market.

Depart from the hotel at 08:30 am, get on the Tuk Tuk to the open-air Morning Market in the old town. There are only a few large grocery stores here—instead, food is still produced by small farming families and villages and brought to Luang Prabang from the surrounding rural areas. The guide will explain the common vegetables and fruits that are in season and pick up some snacks for later.
A short walk from the market is Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham (“New Monastery ”), the National Museum (Royal Palace) and Hor Phra Bang. After the museum, travel again by tuk tuk through more of the picturesque town to Wat Visounnalath.
Another short tuk tuk ride along the Nam Khan River to Wat Xieng Thong.
From there, you’ll walk to the Mekong River, where you’ll take a traditional slow boat cruise, stopping briefly at a Lao Whiskey Village (Lao Khao) en route to the Pak Ou Caves (also called the Tam Ting & Tam Thueng caves). This is a site of ancient spiritual significance, both Buddhist and animist. Within the two caves of Tam Ting are stupas, shrines, and carvings of Buddha. Over 4,000 wooden figures of Buddha, many highly ornate, stand within the natural limestone caves, testament to the skill of Lao craftsmen through the centuries.

On the way back to Luang Prabang we stop at a village where Saa-paper is produced.
After returning to your hotel to relax you can enjoy a local Lao massage for 1 hour ( time / tba)

Upon arrival, you’ll watch a short documentary that reveals the fascinating history and engineering of the tunnels. Then, explore the site firsthand, where you can see original weapons, hidden traps, and even experience the thrill of crawling through a section of the tunnels yourself.

Day 7Da Nang – Ba Na Hills – Hoi An

Travel up the mountain via a state-of-the-art cable car system, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of lush landscapes, drifting clouds, and distant peaks. The ride feels like soaring through the sky, offering a truly magical start to the day.
At the summit, explore the iconic Golden Bridge, renowned for its striking design supported by massive stone hands. Perched 1,400 meters above sea level, the bridge appears like a golden ribbon suspended in the clouds. You’ll also pass by charming old French villas, a scenic suspension bridge, Nui Chua, and the Mountain Peak, which rises to 1,487 meters.
In the afternoon, continue to Vong Nguyet Hill, where you can visit the historic wine cellar, the peaceful Linh Ung Pagoda, and the towering statue of Sakyamuni Buddha.

After your exploration, descend by cable car to the base station, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you to the enchanting town of Hoi An.
Once you’ve checked into your hotel, we’ll take a leisurely walk to explore the enchanting ancient town at sunset. Stroll past historic buildings and centuries-old houses and admire the intricate carvings and paintings inside the Japanese Covered Bridge—built over 400 years ago to connect the Japanese and Chinese communities separated by a small canal. We’ll also visit the ornate Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, traditional Vietnamese merchant houses, and colorful lantern shops that line the narrow streets.

In the evening, enjoy free time to explore Hoi An’s magical Old Quarter at your own pace. Consider a boat ride along the Hoai River or wander through the bustling night market, filled with lights, local crafts, and street food. On full moon nights (the 1st, 14th, and 15th days of each lunar month), the entire old town glows with lantern light, reflecting on the river and creating a romantic, almost mystical atmosphere.

My Son is a fascinating archaeological complex that dates back over a thousand years and was once a spiritual and political center of the Champa Kingdom. Influenced by Indian Hindu architecture, the site is renowned for its red-brick temples and intricate carvings. Despite extensive study, the techniques used to construct and bind the bricks without any visible mortar remain a mystery — a captivating enigma that continues to intrigue scientists and visitors alike.
After exploring the ruins, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, return to Hoi An, where you’ll have the rest of the day free to relax or explore at your own pace. Unwind on the beach, visit the charming Ancient Town, browse silk shops, or soak in the vibrant atmosphere of local markets.
